A large part of my files are images of a retro America, which is still alive and well. I'm drawn to the old highways, small cafes, rural roads, beehive hairdos, and drive-in movies. Visit my website at: www.photosbysuzimooremcgregor.com
After a long love affair with Academia I wrenched myself free and moved on to the world of employment, beginning with the Tucson Museum of Art. Eight or ten years later I changed lives again, and became a stringer for the New York Times and freelanced for various national publications. During that period and the next, I spent several years indulging my fantasies, and wrote two books on sustainable architecture: Under the Sun, published by Bulfinch Press of Little Brown and Co., and Living Homes, published by Chronicle Books. Today, my home base is in San Marino, California where I'm working on a novel and several photographic projects. My projected future is to end all chaos in my life and retire to Mexico.
